WhatsApp - DuckBrain

Status: Available (macOS, WhatsApp Desktop) WhatsApp via wacrawl — it snapshots WhatsApp Desktop’s local store into a clean SQLite archive (plain text, resolved sender and chat names), which DuckBrain attaches read-only and maps to bronze.

What gets ingested

Text only — group system events (joins/leaves) and pure-media messages with no caption are skipped; sender and chat names come already resolved from wacrawl’s contacts join.
Streaming. WhatsApp Desktop writes its store live, so the trigger lane re-runs wacrawl import + ingest when it changes — a message is searchable ~a minute after it arrives (WhatsApp Desktop must be open to sync). The 6h schedule is the safety net.

Requires WhatsApp Desktop installed and signed in on this Mac (that’s the local source wacrawl reads). Rows are classification: confidential and never leave the machine.
